Park Up and Play Tour Update

Now it is day four of the Park up and play tour and I'm heading to Cambridge today!

Let me give you a little break down of some of the highlights so far.

DAY 1 - Brighton

Brighton is an amazing place, the sun was shining and the people seemed really friendly. Just one problem tho, I couldn't get any electricity to power the small P.A system that I had with me! There was a floor in my plan, playing at 17:30 isn't a good time when the shops close at that time. They were going to let me use their power points but had to close....anyway the evening got better as i was rescued by an old teacher and ate fajita's for dinner. YUM.

DAY 2 - London

Same problem during the day for the electricity. However, i thought I'd park next to some restaurants because they'd be open for longer. They wouldn't let me plug into their power supplies because of health and safety reasons. Apparently having a massive extension lead running through a restaurant isn't very safe....oh well.

The evening was great and probably the best part so far. I played a private show on the balcony of my friends house on Brick Lane. There were lots of candles and the view over London was amazing. I should be getting some pictures back from that gig so I'll make sure that I post them on here soon.

DAY 3 - Oxford

I found a great spot, cleared it with the restaurant next door and everything was looking perfect. I even had the local paper coming down with photographers! But less than 10 mins of playing i got moved on by the very annoyed public! Apparently i was blocking a path through to the car park, pedestrians and cyclists couldn't get passed my van, i couldn't get through a song without having to stop to close the doors to let someone past.

I did find somewhere to play in the evening tho! There was a place called the Cape of Good Hope that had some live music on that night. I got up and played a few songs and it was great.

I'll post another update in a few days!

Bye for now
